Everything from Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is a rugged, landlocked country in Central Asia, dominated by the Tian Shan mountain range, which covers most of its territory. It has a population of about 6.7 million. The capital and largest city is Bishkek. Historically, the land was a crossroads on the Silk Road, inhabited by nomadic tribes and later conquered by various empires, including the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. It gained independence in 1991.

Today, it is a unitary parliamentary republic, though it has experienced political volatility. Its economy is heavily reliant on agriculture, mining, and remittances from citizens working abroad. Kyrgyzstan is known for its stunning natural beauty, including Lake Issyk-Kul, and for preserving its nomadic traditions, such as yurt-building and equestrian sports.
