Everything from Cambodia

Cambodia is a Southeast Asian country bordered by Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and the Gulf of Thailand. Its landscape includes fertile plains around the Mekong River, Tonle Sap Lake, and forested highlands. The Khmer Empire, centred at Angkor between the 9th and 15th centuries, left behind monumental temples like Angkor Wat, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cambodia became a French protectorate in the 19th century and gained independence in 1953. The country endured turmoil during the Khmer Rouge regime (1975–1979) before beginning reconstruction and gradual economic growth.

Today, Cambodia has a population of about 17 million. The capital, Phnom Penh, lies at the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers and serves as the cultural, economic, and political hub. Cambodia is known for its rich traditions, Buddhist culture, and rapidly developing tourism sector.
