This is a video from Crespi d’Adda, an outstanding example of the 19th- and early 20th-century ‘company towns’.
Such towns were built in Europe and North America by enlightened industrialists to meet the workers’ needs. Crespi d’Adda is listed as no. 730 on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
