Everything from Estonia

Estonia, the northernmost of the Baltic states, lies along the eastern shore of the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland. It shares land borders with Latvia and Russia. With more than 2,300 islands and a land rich in forests and lakes, Estonia is known for its natural landscapes and digital innovation. The population is around 1.3 million, making it one of the least populous EU and NATO members. The capital, Tallinn, is a medieval Hanseatic city, today famous for its preserved Old Town and thriving tech sector.

Historically, Estonia was ruled by Danes, Germans, Swedes, and Russians . The country declared independence in 1918, but was later annexed by the Soviet Union. It restored its independence in 1991. Estonia has since built a reputation as one of the world’s most digitally advanced societies.
