Everything from Monaco

Monaco is a sovereign microstate on the French Riviera, bordered by France on three sides and the Mediterranean Sea. It is the world’s second-smallest country by area but one of the most densely populated, with about 36,000 residents. The capital is Monaco-Ville, the historic rock-top old town, though the business district is Monte Carlo. Known for its rugged terrain and luxurious harbour, Monaco has been ruled by the Grimaldi family since 1297.

Today, it is a constitutional monarchy famous for its lack of income tax for residents, a glamorous lifestyle, and being a playground for the wealthy. Its economy relies on tourism, banking, and its famous casino. The country is also known for hosting the annual Formula One Grand Prix.

Monaco is a country in the region Sandalsand has defined as Southern Europe. There are introductions to this region and other regions in the Destinations menu.
